Cellox Easy Espand Multi-Herb Air Freshener and Disinfectant, Pack of 10

Espand, also known as wild rue, is a plant whose name is said to derive from the word "Spenta" in the Avesta. In Pahlavi, Spenta means "blessing, sacred." Espand is among the plants that grow on their own, by divine power, rather than being planted by anyone. Many people around the world believe such plants have a sacred quality. We Iranians likewise believe that burning espand wards off the evil eye. According to ancient Persian mythological beliefs, pleasant fragrance is a creation of Ahura Mazda and drives away Ahriman and his malevolent forces.

Today, burning espand and frankincense is used to kill airborne microbes in the environment, and is said to be effective, on a temporary basis, at killing microbes and perhaps viruses, as well as repelling insects. What's more, this age-old tradition is also said to have numerous properties in traditional medicine, all of which is why so many of us use this valuable plant in our homes.
